The available position is integral to the Food & Beverage department, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all food and beverage wares, kitchens, and service areas. This role supports the operational goals of the department by ensuring sanitation standards are consistently met and that the cost of operations is carefully managed. Duties include preparing and maintaining food lines, supplying necessary items to service areas, assisting kitchen staff with product preparation and dishwashing, and ensuring beverage stations are adequately stocked. The team member will interact positively with guests to foster a welcoming environment and provide outstanding customer service. This position is essential in contributing to the overall guest experience and requires collaboration with various departments to ensure smooth operations.

As part of the Hard Rock Casino Bristol team, the food and beverage steward plays a critical role in upholding the company’s standards of excellence. Candidates will be expected to have a high school diploma or GED, valid Food Handler’s card, Liquor License, and Gaming Badge. Experience in casino food and beverage operations or guest services in a dining environment is preferred. The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift and carry heavy items, and adherence to safety and sanitation regulations. The company emphasizes continual communication with supervisors and fellow team members to maintain efficient workflows and high-quality service standards. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency preferred
  • Ability to read and write English required
  • One-year guest service experience in family or formal dining environment preferred
  • Casino food and beverage experience preferred
  • Must have valid Food Handlers Card, Liquor License, and Gaming Badge when working
  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per federal, state, and Virginia Lottery
  • Must successfully pass background check
  • Must successfully pass drug screening
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet each guest and provide outstanding customer service
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of assigned areas and kitchen
  • Prepare and upkeep food lines and self-service stations
  • Transport food items from kitchen to service areas
  • Assist in kitchen product preparation and dishwashing
  • Monitor food temperatures and rotate inventory
  • Restock beverage areas and supplies
  • Remove dirty dishes and glassware from guest tables
  • Complete opening and closing duties
  • Check and clean equipment regularly
