Job Description
The hiring establishment is a dynamic and customer-focused restaurant operating within a casino environment, dedicated to providing exceptional dining experiences to its guests. This establishment prides itself on maintaining a clean, welcoming, and efficient restaurant atmosphere, adhering strictly to established policies and procedures designed to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. The restaurant is known for its vibrant service culture and the friendly professionalism of its staff, which ensures every guest receives attentive and courteous service. This company operates in a fast-paced environment that demands teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence. Employment type for this position is likely full-time or part-time within the food and beverage department of the casino, with a focus on maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and customer service. Salary details are typically competitive within the industry and commensurate with experience and role responsibilities.
The role being offered is that of a Restaurant Busser, a crucial position responsible for supporting seamless restaurant operations. Reporting directly to the Restaurant Services Supervisor, the busser's primary responsibility is to clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently to ensure the dining area is continuously clean, sanitary, and appealing. This helps facilitate smooth table turnover and contributes significantly to a positive dining experience for guests. Beyond clearing and resetting tables, the busser also assists in replenishing service items such as napkins, silverware, glassware, and dishes to maintain readiness during busy service periods.
In addition, the busser provides support by pre-bussing tables, wiping down tables and chairs with sanitized cloths, refilling beverages such as water, coffee, and iced tea upon guest request, and assisting servers and bartenders with various tasks to improve workflow. The position requires an individual who can engage guests with a friendly and professional demeanor, quickly respond to customer inquiries, and maintain a smile and pleasant body language at all times. Participation in departmental meetings is also an important aspect of this role, enabling the busser to stay informed about menu items, promotions, and overall service standards.
Physical stamina is key in this role, as it involves standing, walking, carrying trays and dishes, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. The busser must be able to work in a sometimes noisy, smoky, and temperature-variable indoor and outdoor environment. Flexibility in schedule is necessary, including willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Finally, the busser must have the ability to obtain and maintain a gaming license, pass pre-employment screens, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and work as part of a cohesive team committed to excellent food and beverage service within a casino environment.
