Job Description

The Lagunitas Brewing Company is a renowned craft brewery that originated in Northern California in 1993, starting from a humble kitchen stove and growing into a forward-thinking company known for its innovative beers and commitment to local communities. With a rich heritage rooted in brewing quality IPAs and supporting causes through their beer, Lagunitas has become a prominent name in the craft beverage industry, recognized for its dedication to creativity and community engagement. They foster a culture where people and stories come together, encapsulated by their motto 'Beer Speaks, People Mumble.' This vibrant atmosphere appeals to beer lovers and entrepreneurs alike and creates a workplace that values inclusivity, diversity, and a passion for brewing excellence.

Joining Lagunitas means becoming part of a team that not only crafts exceptional beers but also creates experiences that resonate with customers in their taprooms and beyond. Their values include progress, acceptance, and a genuine love for the craft and the people who enjoy it.

The role of Busser/Food Runner at the Lagunitas Brewing Company taproom is a seasonal, part-time opportunity that typically involves working Fridays through Sundays for 20-24 hours per week. This position is crucial to ensuring an outstanding customer experience by maintaining cleanliness, service efficiency, and adherence to the Lagunitas brand standards throughout service operations. The Busser/Food Runner plays a vital part in supporting servers by restocking supplies, clearing tables, and assisting with food delivery, contributing to the smooth running of front-of-house operations. They are expected to be proactive, attentive, and efficient while interacting professionally with guests.

In addition to direct support during service hours, this role may include varied responsibilities such as assisting with order expediting in the kitchen, cleaning and sanitizing dining areas, emptying trash, stocking restrooms, and occasionally performing server or bartender duties as needed. The position demands physical stamina and attention to detail, requiring the ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work in a fast-paced, sometimes noisy environment with temperature fluctuations.

Employees in this role benefit from several perks that enhance their work experience and well-being, including four free cases of Lagunitas beverages each month, 50% discounts on food and merchandise, pet insurance for dogs and cats, an employee assistance program offering counseling consultations, and bi-weekly pay starting at $18.31 per hour. Lagunitas promotes a welcoming atmosphere that embraces all individuals regardless of background, ensuring every team member feels at home and valued.

Overall, working as a Busser/Food Runner at Lagunitas Brewing Company provides an excellent opportunity for those who thrive in a dynamic hospitality setting, enjoy working with a dedicated team, and are eager to contribute to a celebrated craft brewery's ongoing success.
