Job Requirements

Must meet minimum age requirements as dictated by local law to handle and clear containers holding alcoholic beverages
Must possess or successfully obtain a valid Utah DABS Alcohol Server Certification (S.I.T. or equivalent approved state training) within 30 days of hiring
Valid local Food Handler's Permit must be obtained within 30 days of employment
Prior food and beverage experience in a hotel, upscale restaurant, or high-volume banquet operation is preferred but not required
Flexible scheduling availability required, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays based on group bookings and historical property occupancy
Ability to lift, carry, and balance professional food and beverage service trays up to 30 lbs
Ability to lift, push, pull, or move banquet tables, chairs, and rolling equipment carts weighing up to 50 lbs with assistance

Job Duties

Assist servers actively by monitoring dining areas for empty plates, used silverware, and completed courses to execute continuous, unobtrusive pre-clearing
Clear remaining tabletop items immediately upon guest departure, safely transporting dirty dishes, glassware, and flatware to the dishwashing area
Sanitize table surfaces thoroughly according to health protocols and quickly reset stations to brand standards for the next seating
Keep service stations fully stocked with polished silverware, clean glassware, fresh linens, ice, and necessary condiments throughout the shift
Promptly clean up unexpected spills or broken items on the floor to maintain a safe, spotless environment for guests and colleagues
Communicate efficiently with the service and host teams regarding table turnover status to minimize guest wait times
Review operational directions to assist in the physical setup and teardown of event rooms, positioning tables, chairs, linens, and buffets efficiently
