The position is full-time and requires availability to work any day of the week from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM, including weekends, holidays, and during special events. In this role, the PM Restaurant & Bar Busser/Barback plays a vital part in supporting the hotel's restaurant and bar operations. The individual will help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment, cooperating closely with servers and bartenders to ensure tables are reset promptly, bars are properly stocked, and liquor setup is complete. Job Requirements
- Able to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays
- Previous experience in a full-service restaurant or similar food service environment, preferably with a hotel
- Effective communication skills with guests and staff
- Ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Physically able to move, lift, and carry trays and bulk beer cases up to 40 lbs frequently
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for long periods
- Ability to extend arms and perform reaching, twisting, pulling, bending, and stooping
- Capable of working in busy, noisy environments with large crowds
- Compliant with all health and safety regulations and company food handling guidelines
- Food Handler Certification
- TABC Certification
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a full-service restaurant or similar food service environment, preferably with a hotel
- Effective communication skills with guests and staff
- Ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to move, lift, and carry trays and bulk beer cases up to 40 lbs
- Capable of standing, walking, climbing stairs, and performing physical activities for the duration of shifts
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, food handling, cross-contamination, and sanitation
- Food Handler Certification
- TABC Certification
Job Duties
- Support evening restaurant and lobby bar operations by assisting servers and bartenders to ensure smooth, efficient service
- Stock bar supplies including glassware, ice, garnishes, mixers, napkins, and utensils throughout service
- Clear, clean, and reset dining tables promptly in accordance with hotel cleanliness and service standards
- Assist with bar setup and breakdown before and after evening service
- Monitor guest areas and respond promptly to guest service requests by communicating with servers and bartenders
- Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and food handling guidelines, including local health regulations
- Perform additional job functions as assigned during interviews
