Job Description
This hiring establishment is a dynamic restaurant operating within a vibrant hospitality environment. Known for its dedication to excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency, the restaurant plays a key role in providing an exceptional dining experience for its guests. The business embraces a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and respect among all employees, fostering a supportive workplace where everyone can contribute to the restaurant's overall success.
The available role is specifically for a Busser who will be primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of the dining area. The shift available is a swing shift, from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM, ideal for candidates who thrive during the busier evening hours. There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking to focus on operational support duties within the restaurant.
The Busser plays an integral part in the dining operations by bussing tables, stocking, and maintaining side stations - all critical tasks that contribute to smooth service flow. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness in the restaurant environment. Responsibilities include assisting guests with professionalism and friendliness, thoroughly cleaning and mopping assigned areas, and efficiently stocking necessary supplies at side stands to ensure all operational needs are met promptly. The Busser also manages proper disposal of trash and maintains bus carts to support the waitstaff and kitchen consistently.
Adherence to management directives and following established procedures are essential for success in this role, promoting teamwork and operational harmony. The role also emphasizes the importance of a professional appearance and maintaining uniform standards, helping to uphold the restaurant's brand image and customer satisfaction. Certified gaming license or registrations as required, and the ability to obtain a food handlers card is necessary, ensuring compliance with legal and safety regulations.
Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with both team members and guests, showing respect and courtesy in all encounters. The ability to work flexible shifts, including holidays, and to thrive in a moderately noisy environment with bright lighting and occasional smoke and dust is essential. Physical stamina is required to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds, making physical fitness a consideration for applicants.
This position represents a valuable entry-point or continuing role within the hospitality industry, offering hands-on experience in food service operations and a collaborative work culture. Those joining as Bussers gain critical exposure to restaurant operations, paving a path for future growth and development within the hospitality sector. This is a full-time opportunity committed to operational excellence and providing a positive dining experience to all guests.
