The Busser role at The Dunlin is vital to maintaining a seamless and memorable dining experience. As a Busser, you will be the backbone of the restaurant's service team, ensuring every guest encounter reflects the resort's high standards of hospitality. Your responsibilities will include assisting with setting up and clearing tables, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting servers to deliver efficient service. This position requires attentiveness, teamwork, and a guest-focused attitude that anticipates needs and helps create a welcoming atmosphere.
This is an hourly, part-time position offering $21 per hour, which includes tips, providing a competitive wage in line with the luxury hospitality market. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in a similar role preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Effective communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and adhere to safety and sanitation standards
- Physical stamina to stand and move for extended periods
- Team-oriented mindset
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience as a back server, busser, or food runner preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Job Duties
- Assist in setting up and clearing tables, including arranging utensils, plates, and glassware, and removing used items promptly to maintain a clean and organized dining area
- Collaborate with servers and other restaurant staff to ensure efficient service delivery, communicate guest requests or feedback, and coordinate tasks to meet service standards
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area, including wiping down tables, chairs, and surfaces, and ensuring adherence to food safety protocols
- Support the service team by anticipating guest needs and providing timely assistance
- Handle and dispose of trash and recyclables as needed to maintain a tidy environment
- Restock dining area supplies such as napkins, condiments, and utensils throughout service
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and teamwork in a fast-paced, luxury hospitality setting
