Job Description

Our establishment is a vibrant, fast-paced restaurant known for its exceptional buffet service and commitment to providing guests with an outstanding dining experience. We pride ourselves on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food quality, and presentation, catering to a wide variety of guests in a friendly and professional atmosphere. As a part-time bussing team, we support the front-of-house operations to ensure smooth and efficient service during all meal periods, especially busy weekend mornings.

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Busser to join our team with required availability on Saturdays and Sundays from 6am to 12pm. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment and want to contribute to exceptional guest experiences by maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout our restaurant. The busser works as a serving assistant, responsible for setting up and clearing tables, maintaining buffet stations, stocking service areas, and assisting guests with their needs. This position is critical in supporting our dining services by keeping the atmosphere clean, ensuring that the buffet remains fully stocked and attractive, and helping the team uphold food safety and sanitation standards. The role does not involve supervisory duties but demands a high level of organization, multi-tasking ability, and a friendly, guest-focused attitude. The successful candidate will be physically capable of performing a variety of demanding tasks including lifting, walking, bending, and standing for extended periods and will follow all company policies, food safety standards, and sanitation procedures diligently.

Job Requirements

Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
Must display very good organization and time management skills
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience in the food and beverage industry preferred
Basic knowledge of food presentation and buffet service
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
Must be able to perform physical activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, reaching, and handling materials
Must be able to stand and remain mobile for up to 8 hours
Must be able to kneel, squat, bend, stoop, twist, and reach to perform job duties
Must be able to work in areas with varying temperatures including hot and refrigerated environments

Job Duties

Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment
Set up, stock, and maintain buffet stations with food, beverages, utensils, plates, bowls, and serving equipment
Monitor buffet food levels and promptly replenish items to ensure an attractive and fully stocked presentation throughout service
Coordinate with kitchen staff to replenish buffet items while maintaining food quality and proper holding temperatures
Ensure buffet stations remain clean, organized, sanitized, and free of spills or debris
Replace serving utensils as needed and maintain clean serving equipment throughout service
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines when handling and replenishing food
