The role of a Busser at California Pizza Kitchen is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of a dynamic and fun dining environment. As a Busser, your main responsibility is to uphold the highest standards of service, cleanliness, sanitation, and hospitality, which are foundational to delivering an unforgettable dining experience to each guest. By maintaining a clean and inviting restaurant atmosphere and acting with a sense of urgency, Bussers play a vital role in the guest experience journey. Communication is key in this role as Bussers notify the team when tables are ready to be seated, thereby ensuring the restaurant flows efficiently and guests are promptly accommodated. The role also includes performing essential opening and closing setup duties each shift, including rolling silverware, ensuring the restrooms are clean and well-stocked, and assisting in general upkeep and appearance of the dining area.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a restaurant or food service is advantageous
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
  • effective communication skills
  • willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • legal authorization to work in the united states
