The Busser position at Snooze is an essential role that keeps the restaurant running smoothly during busy shifts. As a Busser, you will be the backbone of the dining area’s cleanliness and efficiency, contributing significantly to the overall guest experience. Your primary responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in the service areas by removing used plates, glassware, and silverware, assisting the dishwashing team, clearing and cleaning tables promptly between guests, and inspecting restrooms to ensure sanitary conditions. This role requires a fast-paced individual committed to teamwork, who is comfortable communicating with guests and assisting servers during peak times, especially when handling large parties. The Busser plays a crucial role in maintaining the restaurant’s high standards of cleanliness and ensuring that guests have a pleasant, seamless dining experience.

Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the US
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs, reach, bend, and stoop
  • Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 10 hours
  • All county required food and alcohol serving certifications must be obtained prior to employment
  • Ability to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests
  • Hard working, dedicated, and able to multitask
  • Fun, energetic, eager and committed team member

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the predominant language(s) of the guests
  • Capable of multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong team player attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed
  • Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently

Job Duties

  • Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of each shift
  • Remove plates and glassware that guests no longer need
  • Take tableware to dish area and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing
  • Assist dishwasher by removing remaining food into appropriate waste bin and maintaining a clean dishwashing station
  • Clean and clear tables after each Guest Experience
  • Between seatings, promptly clean table tops, chairs and booths, check floor and clean as required
  • Inspect assigned restroom every 30 minutes and clean as needed
  • Respond appropriately to Guest requests
  • Communicate Guest requests to server as needed
  • Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods
  • Continually communicate and assist FOH, Bar, and HOH in stocking, cleaning, and any other requested assistance
