The Busser position at Snooze is essential to maintaining the cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant during busy shifts. This role requires someone who can work fast and has a keen eye for detail, ensuring tables, seating areas, and restrooms are impeccably maintained throughout service. As a busser, you will be at the heart of the restaurant's guest experience, assisting servers, clearing and setting tables, and supporting the overall flow of service. Your responsibilities will include managing service area assignments each shift, promptly removing used plates and glassware, and assisting with dishwashing tasks to maintain cleanliness. This position requires excellent communication skills to respond to guest requests efficiently and collaborate with front-of-house and kitchen teams. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • able to work in standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)
  • able to reach, bend, and stoop
  • authorized to work in the US
  • obtain all county required food and alcohol serving certifications prior to employment
  • dependable and punctual
  • willing to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • At least 17 years of age
  • able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests
  • strong team player with a positive attitude
  • able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • able to respond effectively to guest needs
  • previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of each shift
  • remove plates/glassware that guests no longer need
  • take tableware to dish area and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing
  • assist dishwasher by removing remaining food into appropriate waste bin and maintaining a clean dishwashing station
  • clean and clear tables after each Guest Experience
  • promptly clean table tops, chairs and booths, check floor and clean as required between seatings
  • inspect assigned restroom every 30 minutes and clean as needed
  • respond appropriately to guest requests and communicate guest requests to server as needed
  • assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods
  • continually communicate and assist FOH, Bar, and HOH in stocking, cleaning, and any other requested assistance
