Job Description
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, a beloved American restaurant and retail chain, has been a cherished destination since its founding in 1969. Renowned for its Southern-style comfort food, friendly hospitality, and unique Old Country Store that offers country-themed gifts and nostalgic items, Cracker Barrel serves as a warm gathering place for families, friends, and travelers across the United States. With over 70,000 team members nationwide, the company prides itself on fostering a welcoming environment where both guests and employees feel like part of a close-knit community. The company's consistent emphasis on quality, heritage, and exceptional service has propelled Cracker Barrel to become not just a dining spot, but a place where people reconnect and create lasting memories. As a major employer in the hospitality sector, Cracker Barrel is dedicated to cultivating a positive work culture that values teamwork, growth, and mutual respect.
The role of a Busser at Cracker Barrel is integral to delivering the impeccable hospitality experience the brand is known for. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who are eager to contribute to a dynamic dining environment, helping to set the stage for memorable meals. Busses do more than simply clear tables; they keep the dining room running smoothly, ensuring each guest experiences comfort, cleanliness, and a hospitable welcome from the moment they arrive. For those new to the restaurant industry, Cracker Barrel provides comprehensive training through its industry-leading PAR training program, making it an ideal starting point to build a career in hospitality.
This position is open to both full-time and part-time team members, offering competitive weekly pay with the added benefit of same-day pay access. Additionally, the role comes with early eligibility for health insurance and access to supportive programs like vacation time and employee assistance programs, underscoring the company’s commitment to employee well-being. As a Cracker Barrel Busser, individuals will be part of a team-first culture where collaboration and a positive attitude are highly valued.
More than just a workplace, Cracker Barrel actively promotes growth and development opportunities, including 401k plans with company matching and an employee stock purchase program that begins shortly after employment. From the moment a team member joins, they’re welcomed into a culture that prioritizes recognition, community, and continuous development. Employee events and recognition programs further enhance this sense of belonging, creating an environment where contributions are celebrated and every team member feels supported.
The perks extend beyond conventional benefits with exclusive discounts on Cracker Barrel food and retail items, along with additional perks related to home goods, travel, and telecommunications. This array of benefits supports the lifestyle of team members, making the Busser position an appealing opportunity for those seeking meaningful work in a supportive setting with room to grow. The role invites individuals who are proactive, organized, and team-oriented to join a company rooted in tradition but with a contemporary approach to employee engagement and customer service. Ultimately, joining Cracker Barrel means becoming part of 'good company' where every employee plays a role in crafting moments that matter for guests and colleagues alike.
