Job Description
First Watch is a leading daytime dining restaurant concept renowned for its fresh, made-to-order breakfast, brunch, and lunch offerings. With over 630 locations across 32 states, First Watch is committed to quality, hospitality, and community, redefining the daytime dining experience with an innovative chef-curated menu that changes seasonally. This approach emphasizes the freshest ingredients and elevated versions of classic favorites such as Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Quinoa Power Bowl, and their iconic Million Dollar Bacon. Beyond exceptional food, First Watch is passionately dedicated to its employees through its YOU FIRST philosophy, which values personal well-being, workplace happiness, and empowerment.
Operating under a culture that prioritizes employee satisfaction, First Watch ensures no night shifts ever, supporting a healthy work-life balance. Employees are given the independence to make decisions that enhance customer dining experiences from breakfast through lunch. The company’s commitment to its people is clearly demonstrated by their extensive benefits package and supportive work environment. This attitude has earned them notable recognitions including being named the #1 Most Loved Workplace in America by the Best Practice Institute in multiple consecutive years and receiving awards for Best Breakfast and Best Brunch.
The Busser position at First Watch plays an essential role in maintaining the restaurant's high standards for cleanliness and customer service. Armed with a spray bottle, sturdy tray, and cloth towel, the Busser cleans and resets tables within a rapid three-minute timeframe, enabling a seamless dining flow. They communicate effectively with hosts and servers to indicate when tables are ready for seating, acting as quiet but key connectors in the daily operation. The role also includes other important duties such as light housekeeping, rolling silverware, and ensuring restroom cleanliness, all contributing to a welcoming and hygienic environment.
This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a team-oriented setting, enjoy fast-paced environments, and take pride in their attention to detail and efficiency. At least 18 years of age is required to apply. First Watch’s dedication to employee well-being is reflected in its comprehensive benefits, which include health, dental and vision insurance, telemedicine access, flexible spending accounts, retirement savings, meal discounts, tuition reimbursement programs, and paid time off.
As part of its commitment to community support, First Watch donates a portion of proceeds from every kid’s meal to organizations benefiting local communities, having raised approximately $2 million to date. The restaurant’s commitment to inclusivity is apparent, as they are an equal opportunity employer providing reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Working at First Watch offers more than just a job; it is an opportunity to be part of a purpose-driven brand that genuinely cares for its customers and employees alike, fostering a positive, respectful, and supportive workplace environment.
