The Busser position at Over Easy is vital in ensuring a clean, welcoming, and seamless dining environment for every guest who walks through the door. This role is essential in supporting the service team by maintaining spotless dining areas, clearing tables efficiently, and assisting with other tasks like food delivery during peak hours. Bussers help maintain the flow of service and contribute significantly to guests having a pleasant and comfortable dining experience from start to finish. Responsibilities include removing used plates and glassware, taking tableware to the dish area, assisting with dishwashing duties such as disposing of leftover food properly, cleaning tables and seating areas between guests, inspecting and maintaining restroom cleanliness regularly, and supporting servers especially during busy periods or large party service. The ideal candidate for the role is someone who is fun, energetic, eager, and a committed team player who communicates effectively with both teammates and management. Also, they must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, be detail-oriented, and have the physical ability to stand, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to fifty pounds. The role is non-exempt and eligible for overtime and includes participation in tip pooling according to company policy and applicable laws. Food handlers' certification is required, and while experience in the hospitality industry is preferred, it is not mandatory as Over Easy values attitude and willingness to learn. This position is suitable for individuals at least sixteen years of age who are authorized to work in the United States. Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred but not required
  • Must maintain a valid food handlers' certification
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Able to stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Efficient and detail-oriented with a focus on cleanliness and organization
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed
  • Must be at least 16 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S.

Job Duties

  • Remove plates/glassware that guests no longer need
  • Take tableware to dish area and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing
  • Assist dishwasher by removing remaining food into appropriate waste bin and maintaining a clean dishwashing station
  • Clean and clear tables between seatings, promptly clean table tops, chairs and booths, check floor and clean as required
  • Inspect assigned restroom every 30 minutes and clean as needed
  • Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods
