Job Description

Marriott International is a world-renowned leader in the hospitality industry, known for its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences across its diverse global portfolio of brands and properties. Within this esteemed company, Renaissance Hotels stand out by embracing the unique culture and local spirit of each neighborhood they inhabit. Renaissance Hotels encourage guests to explore the unexpected, engage deeply with local culture, and turn every visit into a memorable adventure, whether traveling for business or leisure.

The opportunity presented is for a full-time, non-management Food and Beverage team member at Renaissance Hotels, located in Indian Wells, California. This role offers an hourly wage of $17.40 and is not a remote position, ensuring engagement with the hotel’s vibrant onsite environment. This position plays a crucial role in fostering a welcoming atmosphere where guests enjoy not just food and drink but a holistic and memorable service experience.

The role of a Guest Service Expert at Renaissance Hotels encapsulates much more than just delivering food to tables. These experts are empowered to take initiative, providing a wide range of services designed to enhance every guest’s experience. Responsibilities include setting tables, assisting in the kitchen, maintaining cleanliness in work areas, and replenishing supplies. Guest Service Experts ensure that all services come together to create a seamless and irresistible guest experience.

Success in this role requires adherence to core principles such as maintaining a safe work environment, following company policies and procedures, and upholding high standards of quality and professionalism. Employees must present themselves and communicate in a manner consistent with the Marriott brand, emphasizing a polished uniform and personal appearance.

This position demands physical stamina—Guest Service Experts are frequently on their feet, moving, bending, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds without assistance. They must navigate uneven surfaces, slopes, and potentially slippery areas while being attentive to detail, such as verifying menu information. The ability to carry out various reasonable tasks efficiently and safely is essential to guest satisfaction and the hotel’s smooth operation.

Marriott International is committed to inclusivity, equal opportunity, and celebrating diversity in the workplace. The company values the unique backgrounds, talents, and experiences each associate brings, fostering an environment where everyone feels welcome and supported. This dedication extends to non-discrimination based on disability, veteran status, and other legally protected characteristics.

Joining Renaissance Hotels means becoming part of an inspiring team that encourages employees to bring their best selves to work every day, embrace their purpose, and connect guests with the beating heart of their destinations. Here, associates are not just employees but explorers and storytellers who make every guest’s journey unforgettable.
