Job Description

Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux is more than just a restaurant — it's a vibrant community built on heart, hustle, and the spirit of the underdog. Founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, by two LSU walk-on basketball players, Walk-On's has transformed from a single establishment into a nationally recognized brand. The founders, who faced challenges without scholarships or guarantees, succeeded through hard work, teamwork, and relentless determination, values that continue to shape the company culture today.

Walk-On's is known for its scratch-made dishes with a distinctive Louisiana flair, creating an inviting game-day atmosphere where guests feel like part of the team. The restaurant chain prides itself on delivering championship-level hospitality that welcomes everyone—from the kitchen staff to the dining room team, every member plays a vital role in crafting unforgettable guest experiences. Walk-On's culture is rooted in treating every employee like family, fostering a sense of camaraderie and shared passion.

The busser role at Walk-On's is an essential position that helps keep the restaurant running smoothly during high-energy game days and busy service hours. Bussers are the unsung heroes who ensure every table is clean, reset, and ready for the next guest, supporting servers and maintaining spotless dining areas. This part-time, non-exempt role reports to the Manager on Duty and requires a team-first attitude and the willingness to hustle every shift.

As a busser, you will be responsible for clearing tables swiftly, resetting them for incoming guests, and contributing wherever necessary to enhance the guest experience. This includes tasks like running food, refilling drinks, assisting servers, maintaining sanitation stations, and adhering to all health and safety guidelines. Walk-On's emphasizes a flexible and supportive team environment where every member helps maximize efficiency while making the restaurant look and feel championship-ready.

Candidates should be at least 18 years old with the physical ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and carry items up to 50 pounds. While previous restaurant experience is a plus, it is not required as Walk-On's offers comprehensive training to the right teammate. A positive attitude, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and comfort working under direction or taking initiative to jump in when needed are essential attributes.

Walk-On's is committed to equal opportunity employment and diversity. The company values energy, passion, and pride in every shift, celebrating wins together and pushing through challenges side by side. This job is ideal for individuals looking for flexible part-time hours, particularly nights, weekends, holidays, and special events, making it a perfect fit for students or those with outside commitments.

Working at Walk-On's means becoming part of a winning culture where growth opportunities abound. Today's busser could be tomorrow's leader, as the company invests in its people and nurtures advancement. Joining Walk-On's means embracing core values like teamwork, hospitality, passion, growth, and community. This isn’t just a job—it’s about being part of a family that treats each other with respect and fosters championship-level hospitality in a high-energy, fun environment that truly feels like a team sport.
