Job Description
First Watch is an innovative daytime dining company that leads the industry in serving freshly made breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes using the highest-quality ingredients. Known for its chef-driven menu inspired by the "Follow the Sun" culinary philosophy, First Watch continuously rotates menu items throughout the year to highlight peak-season flavors and feature both classic favorites and unique creations. Signature items such as the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Quinoa Power Bowl, and Million Dollar Bacon have made First Watch a beloved name in the breakfast dining sector. Established as a market leader with over 630 restaurants across 32 states, the company has garnered numerous awards including "Best Breakfast" and "Best Brunch," while also being recognized as the "#1 Most Loved Workplace in America" for multiple years by the Best Practice Institute, a distinction prominently featured in The Wall Street Journal.
First Watch embraces a "You First" philosophy that sets it apart in the restaurant industry by prioritizing employee well-being and happiness. This culture emphasizes empowering employees with decision-making independence to provide exceptional experiences to guests during breakfast, brunch, and lunch services. Employees benefit from a work environment that never requires night shifts and offers a fully chef-curated menu to support their roles. The company provides comprehensive perks and benefits designed to support the health, career growth, and personal needs of its staff. These include health, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts for healthcare and dependent care, a 401(k) retirement savings plan, and generous paid time off policies. Additionally, they offer unique subsidies such as meal discounts, tuition reimbursement, personal and professional coaching, and premium wellness app subscriptions.
The Busser position at First Watch is integral to maintaining the smooth flow of restaurant operations and ensuring an outstanding guest experience. The role involves meticulous table clearing, cleaning, and resetting to prepare for new guests efficiently—specifically within three minutes. Bussers serve as silent communicators by signaling table readiness to hosts and servers, contributing significantly to the seamless seating process. Responsibilities also extend to light housekeeping tasks, rolling silverware, maintaining restroom cleanliness, and monitoring dining areas to keep them inviting. This role requires a team-oriented individual who values clear communication and supports the restaurant's high standards of sanitation and efficiency.
First Watch values diversity and inclusion and is an equal opportunity employer. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, they provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities, ensuring a supportive and accessible workplace. The company invites candidates who align with their culture of employee-first approach and desire to contribute to a dynamic daytime dining experience to apply and join their growing team.
