Job Description
Cracker Barrel is a beloved American restaurant and retail chain that has been a welcoming place for friends and families since its founding in 1969. Known for its warm hospitality, delicious Southern-inspired food, and unique retail offerings, Cracker Barrel creates environments where guests can gather, enjoy hearty meals, and reconnect in a home-like atmosphere. With a rich legacy that spans over five decades, the company prides itself on more than just serving meals; it cultivates memorable experiences that resonate long after guests leave the table. Employing over 70,000 team members across the United States, Cracker Barrel maintains deep community roots while embracing modern growth, training, and support programs to foster employee success and satisfaction.
The Busser role at Cracker Barrel is vital to the smooth operation of the dining experience and sets the tone for hospitality from the very first guest interaction. As a Busser, you will play an essential part in maintaining cleanliness and readiness of tables, ensuring guests feel welcomed from the moment they step into the restaurant. This role goes beyond just clearing tables; it involves resetting the stage for new guests to create fresh memories. You will work closely with servers and the entire dining room team, helping to streamline the flow of service and contribute to a positive, organized environment. No prior restaurant experience is necessary, as Cracker Barrel offers comprehensive training to equip you with the knowledge and skills to excel.
At Cracker Barrel, the work is meaningful because it is done together with a strong team-first mindset. The Busser role suits someone who is attentive, proactive in spotting what needs to be done, and proud of making the dining experience better for others. Organizational skills and purposeful movement also make a significant difference in ensuring a smooth service. Additionally, Cracker Barrel supports its employees well beyond the job itself. Employees receive competitive pay, access to same-day wages, health insurance eligibility from day one, vacation time, and employee assistance programs. Career growth opportunities start immediately with industry-leading training programs, and additional benefits such as 401(k) plans with company matching, employee stock purchase options, and exclusive discounts make working at Cracker Barrel rewarding in multiple ways.
With a culture centered on belonging, support, recognition, and growth, Cracker Barrel invites candidates to join a community where they can truly thrive and find their place. Every great dining experience begins with a clean and welcoming table, and as a Busser, you have the opportunity to make meaningful moments happen every day. Join the Cracker Barrel team and become part of a company that values its people, its guests, and its traditions while driving toward a promising future.
