Job Description

Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux is more than just a place to grab a bite to eat-it's a story of heart, hustle, and the underdog spirit. Founded by two LSU walk-on basketball players in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Walk-On's has grown from a single restaurant into a nationally recognized brand known for its scratch-made dishes with a distinctive Louisiana flair. The company proudly fosters a fun, welcoming, and high-energy game-day atmosphere where guests feel like part of the team. Walk-On's is a sports-themed restaurant and bar that emphasizes a culture built on teamwork, passion, and community, treating every team member like family.

At Walk-On's, every role plays a crucial part in delivering unforgettable guest experiences. From the kitchen staff to the servers and bussers, the company thrives on energy, passion, and pride in every shift. Employees celebrate wins together and face challenges side by side, reinforcing a commitment to a supportive and inclusive workplace. Walk-On's Core Values include teamwork, hospitality, passion, growth, and community. These values guide everything the restaurant does, from providing scratch-made food to creating a welcoming environment for guests and employees alike.

The position of Busser at Walk-On's is a part-time, non-exempt role reporting to the Manager on Duty. Bussers are essential to maintaining a smooth and efficient dining experience. They ensure that tables are cleaned, reset quickly, and that dining areas look championship-ready at all times. Bussers act as supportive teammates who assist servers by running food, refilling drinks, and anticipating guest needs. They play a key role in sanitation and safety by setting up and maintaining sanitation stations and adhering to all cleaning and safety guidelines.

This position requires flexibility, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Bussers arrive on time, dressed in uniform, and ready to hustle. They engage with guests with a smile and maintain a guest-focused approach, anticipating needs and delivering excellent service. Working as a busser at Walk-On's not only offers flexible hours—ideal for students or those with outside commitments—but also provides opportunities to grow within the company. Many bussers advance to leadership roles, benefiting from Walk-On's commitment to growth and development.

Bussers must comply with all federal, state, and local health, safety, and alcohol service laws as applicable in the company's operational states, including Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee. Proper certifications are maintained as required by state law. Walk-On's is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values diversity and inclusion.

Joining Walk-On's means being part of a team where work feels like a team sport, where camaraderie and championship-level hospitality define the culture. The busser role is more than a job-it's a chance to be part of something special that values hard work, passion, and team spirit, delivering great food and an unforgettable guest experience day after day.
