Job Description

Cracker Barrel is a renowned restaurant chain that has been a cherished gathering place for families and friends since its establishment in 1969. Known for its Southern country theme, Cracker Barrel offers more than just delicious comfort food and abundant servings; it also provides a unique retail shopping experience with a selection of nostalgic and classic products. Rooted deeply in American tradition and hospitality, Cracker Barrel emphasizes creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere where guests can reconnect, feel at home, and enjoy memorable moments. With over 70,000 team members nationwide, the company prides itself on nurturing a culture that values community, teamwork, and exceptional guest service.

The role of a Busser at Cracker Barrel is pivotal in setting the stage for every guest's dining experience. This position is designed for individuals who understand that hospitality begins long before a meal is served. As a Busser, you are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the dining area, ensuring tables are clean, comfortable, and inviting. You will work closely with the entire dining room team to keep operations flowing smoothly and efficiently, directly contributing to the overall guest experience. Whether you have prior restaurant experience or are new to the food service industry, Cracker Barrel provides comprehensive training to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary for success.

Beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, the company is deeply invested in the growth and well-being of its team members. Employees are offered competitive weekly pay with same day pay access, health insurance eligibility from the first day for both full and part-time workers, paid vacation, and participation in an employee assistance program. The company also supports career development through its industry-leading PAR training program, beginning on day one, as well as opportunities to participate in a 401k plan with company matching contributions after 90 days and an employee stock purchase program. Cracker Barrel fosters a culture of belonging by providing onboarding, training, development, recognition programs, and employee events designed to create a supportive and inclusive workplace. Additional perks include a 35 percent discount on Cracker Barrel food and retail items, as well as exclusive discounts on home, travel, cell phones, and more.

Joining Cracker Barrel as a Busser means becoming part of a team dedicated to making each moment meaningful for guests and coworkers alike. This role is ideal for individuals who are proactive, organized, team-oriented, and take pride in creating positive experiences for others. It offers an excellent opportunity to start or grow a career in the restaurant industry while being part of a company that values and invests in its people. By working at Cracker Barrel, you’re not just taking a job; you’re entering into a community of good company where every effort counts and every contribution is recognized.
