Since its inception in 1969, Cracker Barrel has become a beloved gathering place for families and friends across the United States. It combines hearty meals with an inviting country store experience, offering guests an environment that feels like home. The company prides itself on maintaining a warm, friendly, and respectful culture where team members and guests alike feel valued and appreciated. With over 70,000 team members nationwide, Cracker Barrel has grown significantly while staying true to its roots of quality service and community connection.
The Busser role at Cracker Barrel is a critical position within the dining team, focusing on creating a seamless and hospitable dining experience for guests. As a Busser, you play an essential part in ensuring that every table is clean, comfortable, and ready to welcome new guests. This role involves much more than just clearing plates; it is about resetting the stage for memorable moments to happen. Working closely with servers and other team members, you help maintain the flow of the dining room, contributing to the positive energy and smooth operations that guests notice and appreciate. Whether you are spotting what needs attention or proactively stepping in to help, your efforts enable the team to deliver exceptional service.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, are team-oriented, and take pride in making a difference. Cracker Barrel provides comprehensive training, so no previous restaurant experience is necessary, making it a fantastic entry-level position. The company emphasizes taking care of its employees with competitive wages, same-day pay access, and a range of benefits that support both personal and professional growth. From health insurance eligibility on day one to vacation time, employee assistance programs, and a robust 401k matching plan, the benefits package is designed to foster long-term career development and employee satisfaction. Additional perks such as a 35% discount on food and retail items and exclusive discounts on various everyday expenses make this role attractive.
At Cracker Barrel, the culture of belonging is a core value, reflected in onboarding, training, recognition programs, and ongoing employee events. The work environment encourages collaboration, respect, and inclusivity, ensuring that every team member feels supported from their first day. Whether you are seeking your first job or a new career path, joining Cracker Barrel means becoming part of a community that values hospitality, teamwork, and mutual respect. The Busser position is not just a job; it is an opportunity to contribute to a place where people come together to share good food, good company, and good memories. If you are someone who stays organized, moves with purpose, and is eager to help others, Cracker Barrel invites you to apply and be part of a company that truly cares about its people and its guests.
