Job Description
San Manuel is a leading private employer located in the Inland Empire, known for its vibrant Casino and Resort operations that attract visitors from various regions. As a respected establishment, San Manuel combines rich tribal heritage with modern entertainment, dining, and hospitality services. The company prides itself on delivering exceptional guest experiences, emphasizing a clean and welcoming environment in all its venues. Their commitment to employee growth and well-being makes them a sought-after employer, fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace culture where staff can thrive and build rewarding careers.
The Busser position at San Manuel operates under the direction of the Supervisor Food & Beverage and plays a crucial role in maintaining the overall dining experience for guests. This role is centered on cleanliness, organization, and support within food venues across the resort. Bussers are responsible for ensuring that dining areas and workstations present a tidy, sanitized, and fully stocked atmosphere. This includes tasks such as clearing and wiping tables, removing food trays, and managing waste disposal to ensure walkways and dining spaces remain clutter-free and presentable.
In addition to maintaining cleanliness and organization, Bussers play an active role in supporting food service by delivering and expediting food orders and condiments to guests promptly and accurately. They help ensure that all items are presented neatly, contributing to the overall guest satisfaction and smooth operation of the department. The role also involves restocking essential items like condiments, plastic ware, coffee, and ice bins to maintain efficiency during service hours.
The position requires excellent communication skills as Bussers regularly interact with guests and team members, providing friendly and efficient service. They assist both their peers and management with special assignments, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Given the casino and resort setting, the role demands the ability to stay calm and effective during busy periods and adapt to varied shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical stamina is an important aspect of this role. Employees must be able to handle light lifting and have the mobility to navigate a busy dining floor effectively. Working conditions involve exposure to various environmental factors typical of a casino and resort, including potential exposure to secondhand smoke.
Mandatory certifications include obtaining and maintaining a Food Handlers Card, while gaming licenses may be required based on regulatory decisions. The position provides an opportunity to work in an energetic and dynamic environment, contributing directly to the hospitality experience that San Manuel is known for. This job offers invaluable experience for those interested in the hospitality or food service industries and the chance to be part of a respected and growing company dedicated to employee growth and community impact.
