Job Description
Fixins Soul Kitchen is a dynamic and rapidly expanding full-service restaurant group specializing in redefining the American soul food experience. Founded in 2019 by former NBA All Star Kevin Johnson and his wife Michelle, Fixins brings an innovative twist to traditional Southern cuisine, blending recipes rooted in generations of family and friends with vibrant, energetic dining environments. The flagship location is in the Oak Park neighborhood of Sacramento, California, with additional locations in Los Angeles at the Staples Center, Tulsa's historic Black Wall Street, and Detroit's Harmonie Park. Further growth is planned with six new stores set to open within the next two years. Fixins aspires to become the largest Black-owned restaurant group in the nation, fostering a commitment to rich cultural food heritage, outstanding service, and eclectic ambiance.
The company is seeking a dedicated Busser to join their front-of-house team to ensure every guest experiences impeccable service and a welcoming atmosphere. This role is central to maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area, replenishing tabletop essentials, assisting guests and team members with courteous and efficient service, and collaborating closely with servers and other staff. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, and values teamwork. This position requires flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, while maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and professionalism. Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 months of experience in an upscale restaurant setting preferred
- flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- must be physically fit to carry heavy trays and stand for long periods
- must have or be willing to obtain Food Handler's Card
- must have or be willing to obtain Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification if required by law
- ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Clear tables with meticulous attention to detail and speed
- replenish condiments and other tabletop items promptly and proactively
- clean and sanitize tables and chairs between courses, maintaining a spotless dining area
- help ensure a smooth and efficient flow of service
- attend to guest requests with professionalism and courtesy, addressing any concerns promptly and discreetly
- anticipate guest needs and proactively provide assistance, exceeding expectations whenever possible
- collaborate effectively with servers, fellow bussers, and other staff to create a cohesive and supportive team environment
