Fogo de Chao is a renowned Brazilian steakhouse chain that specializes in the traditional culinary art of Churrasco, a style of barbecue that originated in southern Brazil. Known for its vibrant dining experience, Fogo de Chao emphasizes exceptional service, high-quality ingredients, and a welcoming atmosphere that delights guests from all walks of life. The company prides itself on blending cultural heritage with modern hospitality, offering an unforgettable journey of flavor and discovery at each visit. As a prominent name in the restaurant industry, Fogo de Chao is committed to fostering a purposeful future by supporting not just its guests but also its dedicated team members and the communities it serves. The company cultivates a work environment defined by its core values of teamwork, integrity, excellence, humility, and the Brazilian spirit of "Deixa Comigo" or "we've got you," ensuring that every employee feels valued and empowered.
Currently, Fogo de Chao is seeking motivated individuals for the position of Busser. This role is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of service and cleanliness that the restaurant is known for. As a Busser, you will work closely with servers and other team members to create a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for guests. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy being active in a fast-paced environment and take pride in supporting a team-oriented workplace. The role includes responsibilities such as maintaining table settings, assisting with restocking items like ice water and cheese rolls, and handling the efficient transportation of trays between the dining area and dishwashing stations. Additionally, bussers play a crucial role in the smooth opening and closing of shifts, ensuring all dining areas and service stations are impeccably set up and maintained.
Fogo de Chao offers competitive compensation for this role, with a fixed hourly rate of 19.90 plus the opportunity to earn tips, which will be detailed during onboarding. This employment opportunity can be full-time or part-time, offering flexibility to accommodate different schedules. The company supports its team members with a comprehensive benefits package that underscores its dedication to their well-being. Full-time hourly employees become eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days of employment, along with company-paid life insurance and short-term disability coverage. Part-time employees are not overlooked, receiving access to minimum essential health care, dental, vision, life insurance, and short-term disability, with coverage starting as soon as the first of the month after hire. Voluntary benefits are also available to all team members, including critical illness coverage, hospital indemnity, accident protection, permanent life insurance, pet insurance, legal services, and ID protection.
At Fogo de Chao, the Busser role is more than just a job; it's a pathway to professional growth and a fulfilling career within a company that values each person’s contribution. Whether you are starting your journey in the hospitality industry or looking to advance your skills in a dynamic setting, Fogo de Chao provides a supportive environment where you can thrive. Join a team where your work makes a tangible difference in providing memorable guest experiences and where your personal and professional growth is nurtured. The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer and participates in E-Verify, reflecting its commitment to diversity and lawful workforce practices.
