Employee growth, safety, and work-life balance remain pillars of Olive Garden's workplace culture. The company actively promotes from within, greatly valuing its hourly employees and providing them with tangible career advancement opportunities.
Olive Garden is hiring bussers who play an essential part in maintaining the inviting and spotless dining environment that guests have come to expect. This role is pivotal in supporting both servers and the overall restaurant team by ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of the dining room. Bussers contribute directly to the guest experience by setting the stage for a comfortable and enjoyable meal, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and assisting servers to provide excellent guest service. This position offers variable pay depending on location plus tips, reflecting the flexible and varying nature of the role across different restaurants. Bussers enjoy flexible schedules designed to accommodate personal commitments such as school, childcare, and family care, allowing them to balance work and life effectively.
Working at Olive Garden means joining a family-oriented workplace that values every team member. In addition to competitive pay and tips, bussers receive numerous benefits including free employee meals, weekly pay, anniversary pay, and paid sick leave accrued from day one. Family and medical leave is also included after one year of service, underscoring the company’s commitment to supporting employees during important life events. Olive Garden provides comprehensive medical and dental insurance options, ongoing training to develop critical skills, and discounts on various products and services ranging from cellphones to travel. The company’s 401(k) savings plan offers a match after one year, encouraging long-term financial planning and security. What sets Olive Garden apart is its dedication to internally promoting team members, with more than half of its managers having been promoted from hourly positions.
Safety and sanitation are top priorities at Olive Garden. The company upholds rigorous standards to protect the health and wellness of both its employees and guests. This results in a clean, safe dining environment where everyone can feel comfortable and cared for. As a busser, you are integral to maintaining these standards by ensuring that the dining room is disinfected and prepared for every guest interaction. This foundational role makes a significant impact on the success of the restaurant and the joy of its guests.
At Olive Garden, being part of the family means having opportunities for career growth, a supportive team environment, and benefits that help you thrive both personally and professionally.
