The role of a Busser at Wildfire is essential in supporting the service team to ensure every guest's dining experience is outstanding. Bussers assist with various duties including cleaning and resetting tables, transporting dirty dishes, and sometimes assisting with Barista tasks as directed. This position requires teamwork, good organizational skills, and a high level of awareness on the restaurant floor to keep everything running smoothly. Bussers are expected to be calm and effective multitaskers even in a busy, fast-paced environment, handling physical tasks such as moving tables and chairs, lifting, and standing for extended periods during shifts that may include weekends and a variety of hours. Communication skills are key for following instructions and performing tasks safely and efficiently.

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team setting
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Physical ability to handle manual tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
  • Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Job Duties

  • Clean and reset tables and transport dirty dishes to bus tub, tray or dish room
  • Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
  • Effectively service a minimum of an eight table section
  • Safely and effectively move chairs, tables, highchairs and booster seats
  • Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment
  • Ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
  • Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
