The Busperson / Food Runner at JW Marriott is a crucial position within the Food and Beverage team, specifically assigned to poolside service under the supervision of the Pool Manager. This role is crafted to support the dining team by ensuring smooth and timely delivery of food and beverages, maintaining pristine table settings, and providing attentive service to guests. The position operates in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where teamwork and guest engagement are key. The Busperson / Food Runner efficiently expedites kitchen orders and ensures that every dish meets expected presentation and temperature standards before reaching the guest. The individual is responsible for replenishing non-alcoholic beverages like water, tea, coffee, and soft drinks, which are essential to the poolside dining experience.
Moreover, this role involves maintaining high levels of cleanliness and organization in service areas, including dining and lounge spots, as well as poolside facilities. The Busperson / Food Runner actively assists servers by managing stations during peak times, covering for colleagues, and responding promptly to guest needs. Additionally, they keep service stations stocked with necessary utensils, napkins, condiments, and other supplies to support an uninterrupted, seamless service flow.
This position requires a high degree of physical stamina including the ability to stand or walk for extended shifts, carry trays weighing up to 30 pounds, and maneuver heavier items as needed. Candidates must have excellent communication skills to coordinate efficiently among servers, kitchen staff, and guests. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid Clark County Health Card
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry trays up to 30 pounds

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of hotel or restaurant food runner experience
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with servers kitchen staff and guests
- Excellent time-management and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail for food presentation order delivery and table maintenance

- Ability to work in fast-paced environments while remaining organized

Job Duties
- Promptly expedite and deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests ensuring proper presentation correct temperatures and timely delivery
- Maintain fully set clean and organized dining and lounge areas including wiping tables resetting sections and ensuring poolside service areas remain guest-ready
- Provide attentive support to guests by refilling water coffee tea soft drinks and other non-alcoholic beverages
- Assist servers by covering stations running completed orders and responding quickly to guest requests
- Monitor pool deck activity to anticipate guest needs while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards
- Keep service stations stocked with necessary supplies utensils napkins and condiments ensuring seamless service flow during high volume periods
- Adhere to all company safety and department policies and procedures
