The Business Travel Sales Manager role within Crescent Hotels & Resorts is a pivotal position responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market share through targeted business travel sales initiatives. This management-level role requires a proactive and self-motivated individual to secure new accounts and build lasting client relationships by understanding and meeting the unique needs of business travelers. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing, the successful candidate will implement strategic sales plans that align with the hotel’s overall performance objectives for a full-service property. Candidates must be adept at effective communication, displaying a positive and friendly demeanor to solicit business and resolve any client concerns efficiently. The role involves collaborating cross-functionally within the hotel, requiring knowledge of hotel operations and the ability to navigate various departments seamlessly. Additionally, this position demands flexibility, as management associates may need to work beyond standard hours to fulfill job responsibilities, with overtime compensation applicable. The position is based on a 45-hour workweek and is classified as an OEM role, underscoring the commitment to operational excellence and team collaboration. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in hospitality sales or related field
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Willingness to work a 45-hour OEM schedule
  • Ability to conduct site inspections
  • Self-starting personality
  • Team-oriented attitude

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in hotel sales or business travel sales
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of full-service hotel operations
  • Management or supervisory experience preferred
  • Proficiency in sales software and CRM tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

Job Duties

  • Soliciting and securing new business travel accounts
  • Collaborating with Director of Sales & Marketing to align sales goals
  • Conducting site inspections throughout the hotel property
  • Communicating effectively with clients to meet their needs and resolve complaints
  • Working as part of a team and supporting co-workers' duties
  • Managing daily sales activities to achieve hotel revenue objectives
  • Maintaining knowledge of hotel structure and departmental interactions
