The Business Operations Supervisor (BOS) plays a crucial role in managing the business office and the 24/7 information desk within a residence hall or apartment complex. This position oversees hall and apartment occupancy, enforces housing contract policies, administers summer conference/apartment operations, and directly supervises a team of student employees responsible for information desk services and building tours. The BOS serves as an essential point of contact for residents, potential residents, and guests, helping them navigate contracts, room assignments, billing inquiries, and building policies. The BOS collaborates closely with Residence Life staff and supports processes to ensure optimum occupancy and resident satisfaction.
The role demands strong leadership as the supervisor is responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating 15 to 60 student employees, depending on the number of buildings managed. The BOS also administers payroll for student workers and assists with HR-related tasks. In addition, the supervisor plans and executes the summer housing program, coordinating with event services and contract staff, including the supervision of 5 to 16 hospitality specialists. - Bachelor's degree and 2 years of post-bachelor's supervisory, operational, or administrative experience or a combination of education and supervisory, operational, or administrative experience totaling 6 years

Job Duties
- Manage business operations within residence hall or apartment complex
