Job Description

Our client is a dynamic and growing firm operating within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector, with a significant presence in the Central Texas region. Known for their commitment to delivering innovative solutions and building strong client relationships, this company has established itself as a trusted name in markets like Round Rock, San Antonio, and Fort Worth. Their multidisciplinary teams collaborate to tackle complex projects, ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction at every stage. As a forward-thinking organization, they continuously pursue strategic growth to expand their reach and elevate their impact in the AEC industry. Currently, the firm seeks to strengthen their business development capabilities by adding a highly motivated Business Development Coordinator to their marketing department.

The Business Development Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the firm’s continued expansion efforts in the Round Rock and San Antonio markets. This position is integral to the marketing department and acts as the primary business development support resource within these regions. The coordinator will work closely with Principals, Project Managers, and the Fort Worth marketing team to foster client engagement, gather market intelligence, and provide targeted assistance to regional pursuit initiatives. This multifaceted role blends strategic client interaction with analytical research to identify new business opportunities and nurture existing relationships.

A key aspect of this role involves regular travel between the Round Rock and San Antonio offices, with occasional trips to the Fort Worth headquarters to ensure cohesive collaboration and alignment with broader company objectives. The Business Development Coordinator is expected to take ownership of coordinating business development and marketing activities such as managing networking events, scheduling client meetings, organizing conferences, and supporting sponsorship opportunities. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for maintaining updated and accurate data within the company’s CRM system, tracking Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), sales pipelines, and conducting competitive market research.

The ideal candidate for this position will have 5 to 8 years of direct business development or marketing experience within the AEC industry, paired with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. Strong communication skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and relationship-building expertise are essential to succeed in this role. Experience with CRM platforms, Microsoft Office suite, and Adobe InDesign will provide a technical advantage. Additionally, familiarity with the Central Texas AEC market landscape and a willingness to travel between geographic locations within this market underscore the prerequisites for this opportunity.

In summary, this Business Development Coordinator role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional seeking to contribute in a meaningful way to a growing and respected AEC firm. The position offers the chance to engage at the intersection of client engagement, market research, and strategic growth execution while providing visibility and collaboration across multiple city locations. This role not only supports business expansion but also helps solidify the firm’s reputation and presence in key Texas markets, making it a crucial component of the company’s ongoing success.
