Maytag Aircraft is currently seeking a Business Development and Proposal Coordinator to join their team on-site in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role is pivotal for driving the company’s growth and expansion into Department of Defense and Federal Government markets. The selected candidate will provide vital administrative, analytical, and operational support to various business development, capture, and proposal activities. Responsibilities will focus on maintaining opportunity data and facilitating effective customer engagement efforts. The ideal candidate will be experienced with government contractors and possess a solid understanding of the federal acquisition environment.

This position involves monitoring various procurement sources such as SAM.gov and GovWin for potential opportunities, coordinating customer meetings and industry events, supporting proposal and capture teams with document preparation and compliance tracking, and assisting in maintaining capability statements, presentations, and marketing assets. Additional duties include managing past performance databases, subcontractor coordination, maintaining proposal libraries, preparing metrics reports, and organizing internal business development activities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • minimum of three years of experience supporting business development, proposals, contracts, or operations within a government or defense contracting environment
  • experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal Government customers required
  • familiarity with FAR-based procurements preferred
  • experience with SAM.gov, GovWin, CRM systems, or similar business development tools preferred
  • strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Job Duties

  • Maintain and track business opportunities within CRM and pipeline systems
  • monitor SAM.gov, GovWin, and other procurement sources for upcoming opportunities
  • coordinate customer meetings, industry events, and internal business development activities
  • support proposal and capture teams with document preparation and compliance tracking
  • assist in maintaining capability statements, presentations, and marketing materials
  • maintain past performance databases and contract reference information
  • support teaming agreement and subcontractor coordination activities
  • manage proposal libraries and corporate templates
  • prepare reports and metrics for the Business Development Executive
  • coordinate internal action items and meeting schedules
