The role of a Food Runner at HHM is essential in creating a seamless and memorable dining experience for guests. As a Food Runner, your primary responsibility will be to set up and clear tables efficiently while maintaining the stock and cleanliness of all service stations. This position plays a critical support role by assisting food servers in providing attentive and timely service to diners. By delivering beverages, breads, and butter to guests and replenishing as necessary, Food Runners contribute to the welcoming atmosphere and smooth operation of the dining room. Additionally, Food Runners are responsible for adhering to sustainability guidelines in line with HHM’s EarthView program, ensuring environmentally conscious service standards are met.

This position requires a proactive and customer-focused approach, embracing safe work habits and compliance with OSHA and MSDS standards by using appropriate personal protective equipment and following safety protocols. The Food Runner will operate in a dynamic environment that demands physical activity such as standing for extended periods, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching. Working in this role offers a clear career progression path within HHM, including advancement opportunities from Food Runner to Restaurant Server and further to Restaurant Floor Manager. Job Duties

  • Clear dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting
  • maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods
  • serve guests with beverages, breads and butter to begin their dining experience and replenish as necessary
  • transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area
  • follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program
  • practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
  • perform other duties as requested by management
