We invite you to join us in the role of Bus Person, an essential position that supports the smooth operation of our restaurant’s food service. This role involves efficiently and discreetly assisting wait staff by maintaining clean tables, replenishing supplies, and ensuring a seamless transition between guest seatings. The Bus Person is responsible for quietly clearing dirty dishes from the dining area and returning them to the kitchen or dishroom, as well as resetting tables with fresh linens, silverware, and glassware to prepare for incoming guests. Attention to detail is crucial, as you will also restock clean service items throughout the dining room and service bar, maintain cleanliness of sneeze guards, glass shelves, and bar equipment, and provide polite, professional interaction with guests by serving ice water and butter when requested.

This position is hourly, with a wage of $14.00 per hour, reflecting our commitment to fair compensation. We expect our Bus Persons to work discreetly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with wait staff and management to ensure that every guest enjoys attentive and timely service. Your role will not only be behind the scenes but also a front-facing part of the dining experience where you will occasionally greet guests warmly. Your efforts will help maintain high service and cleanliness standards that contribute to a memorable dining experience.

Job Duties

  • quickly and quietly carry dirty dishes from the dining room to the kitchen/dishroom
  • replace soiled table linens and reset tables with silverware and glassware
  • replenish clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes in the dining room
  • decorate and restock the service bar with food items, utensils, and dishes
  • serve ice water and butter to guests
  • clean and polish sneeze guards, glass shelves, service bar equipment, and dispensers
  • assist wait staff as directed by management to ensure timely guest service
  • take initiative to greet guests warmly and professionally
  • other duties as assigned
