As an established name in the hotel industry, HHM Hotels is dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where employees are valued for their unique talents and contributions. The company prides itself on maintaining high standards of excellence while embracing sustainable practices that support environmental stewardship. This commitment is reflected in programs like HHM's EarthView, aimed at promoting sustainability throughout its operations.
The position of Bus Person at one of HHM Hotels' properties offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute directly to the guest dining experience. The role primarily involves setting up and clearing tables, stocking all service stations, and supporting food servers to ensure smooth and efficient service during all meal periods. This role is critical in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and a welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant. Bus Persons play an essential role in setting the tone for guests' dining experiences by promptly and courteously attending to their needs while working behind the scenes to keep service areas fully stocked and sanitized.
The Bus Person also embodies HHM Hotels' values by safely managing the transportation of dirty tableware from the dining area to the dishwashing stations, adhering to safety protocols such as OSHA and MSDS standards, and utilizing protective safety equipment. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and move efficiently around the restaurant. It offers a clear growth path with opportunities to advance to roles such as Food Runner, Restaurant Server, and ultimately Restaurant Floor Manager.
HHM Hotels provides competitive wages for both full-time and part-time positions, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision health insurance, paid time off, 401k company match, free basic life insurance, travel discounts, commuter benefits, wellness programs, educational and professional development, and referral bonus programs. The work environment is fast-paced and requires a flexible schedule that may include holidays and weekends. The company cultivates a culture grounded in its core beliefs: People Are Our Capability, Hearts That Serve, Only Excellence, Stay Nimble, and Own It.
