We are currently seeking an experienced CDL Bus Driver to join our elite team in Knoxville, TN. This full-time opportunity offers competitive pay ranging from $19.06 to $20.60 per hour under a union collective bargaining agreement, with pay progression based on years of service. A $1500 sign-on bonus is available, subject to terms and conditions and expiring on December 31, 2025. The role requires a valid CDL Class A or B license with passenger and airbrake endorsements and a minimum of three years driving experience, either personal or professional.

As a CDL Bus Driver at Transdev, you will be at the forefront of providing safe, efficient, and attentive transportation services to our passengers. Your responsibilities include operating buses along designated routes and schedules while adhering to strict safety protocols and traffic regulations. Maintaining high vehicle safety standards is crucial, involving thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and quick reporting of any maintenance issues. The role demands exceptional interpersonal skills to assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring a comfortable and timely travel experience.

Safety and compliance are paramount at Transdev. Drivers must rigorously enforce seat belt use, be prepared for emergency responses, and comply with all regulatory mandates. The job involves working in various outdoor conditions, sitting for extended periods, walking considerable distances on varied surfaces, and handling physical tasks such as lifting and maneuvering objects up to 50 pounds. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and airbrake endorsement

Job Duties

  • Execute flawless operations by following designated routes and schedules while adhering to safety protocols and traffic regulations
  • Exhibit exceptional care and assistance towards passengers ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation
  • Conduct comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance issues
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and vehicle readiness
  • Uphold company policies including seat belt enforcement, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance
  • Work flexible shifts as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
