Currently, Transdev is urgently hiring Bus Drivers to join their team in Modesto, CA. This full-time position offers a competitive starting wage of $22.25 per hour, which progresses to $31.30 per hour over two years according to the Union Collective Bargaining Agreement pay scale. No prior bus driving experience is required because Transdev provides paid training to obtain your Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B permit with a passenger endorsement for qualified candidates. As a Bus Driver, individuals will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers by following designated routes and schedules, maintaining a professional demeanor, and providing excellent customer service.

Candidates must obtain a CDL Class B Permit with Passenger Endorsement before beginning employment. The role requires individuals who are punctual, communicative, and dedicated to maintaining safety protocols and company policies. The position demands physical stamina to perform duties in various weather conditions, including long periods of sitting, walking, and handling equipment or objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Job Qualifications

  • 21 years or older
  • Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years
  • Obtain a Permit for CDL Class B prior to starting employment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Punctual with an emphasis on attendance
  • Ability to work independently in varying weather and temperature conditions
  • Physical ability to sit for extended periods, walk long distances, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed

Job Duties

  • Execute flawless operations by meticulously following designated routes and schedules while adhering to stringent safety protocols and traffic regulations
  • Exhibit exceptional care and assistance towards passengers ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation
  • Conduct comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety, promptly report maintenance issues, and ensure cleanliness and readiness of safety equipment
  • Uphold company policies and procedures rigorously including seat belt enforcement, emergency response preparedness, and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain professional conduct and excellent customer service standards at all times
  • Respond promptly and effectively to on-route incidents or emergencies
  • Attend and complete all required training, including CDL permit preparation and safety protocols
