Currently, Acts is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Bus Driver. This role is vital to the community’s day-to-day operations as it involves the safe transportation of residents to scheduled outings, medical appointments, shopping trips, and community events. The Bus Driver ensures that residents maintain their independence and continue to engage with the broader community by providing reliable, friendly, and timely transportation services.

The ideal candidate for the Bus Driver role has a high school diploma or equivalent, holds a valid Commercial Driver's License (Class B or higher) with a passenger endorsement or is willing to obtain it within six months of employment, and possesses at least one year of experience in passenger or commercial driving. CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred, underscoring the importance of safety and preparedness in this position.

Job Duties

  • Drive residents safely to and from outings, appointments, shopping trips, and community events
  • maintain the vehicle in a clean and safe condition
  • conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • follow all traffic laws and community safety protocols
  • assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle
  • communicate effectively with residents and staff
  • report any incidents or maintenance needs promptly
