The role currently available in Savannah, GA, is for a Bus Driver, including both CDL holder and Non-CDL licensed professionals. This full-time position is unionized under a collective bargaining agreement, and offers competitive hourly pay rates with additional shift differentials for night and weekend work. Specifically, CDL Holders earn between $25.25 to $27.25 per hour, including training pay starting at $25.25, while Non-CDL drivers start at $18.75 per hour. As a Bus Driver at Transdev, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and comfortable transportation of passengers throughout your assigned routes and schedules. Your role will be critical in upholding the highest standards of professionalism and excellent customer service, contributing substantially to community mobility. You will perform thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to guarantee safety compliance and cleanliness, ensuring all safety equipment is ready and functional. Additionally, you will adhere strictly to all company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements, including enforcing seat belt use and being prepared for emergency situations.
This position demands vigilance, strong communication skills, and a customer-oriented attitude. You will assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, maintain a composed demeanor under traffic and road condition challenges, and report maintenance issues promptly to ensure continuous, safe service. Physical demands include the ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, withstand varying weather conditions, and manage prolonged periods of sitting with occasional walking, lifting, or bending.

Job Requirements
- Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and temperatures
- Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day)
- Capacity to walk long distances, sometimes on uneven or slippery surfaces
- Ability to push, pull, and lift objects up to 50 pounds
- Tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Successfully pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
Job Qualifications
- 21 years or older
- Valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and airbrake endorsement (for CDL positions)
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience, personal or professional
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Availability to work day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts
- Ability to pass DOT drug testing and physical examination
