We are currently seeking Restaurant General Managers (RGMs) to join our dynamic team. The RGM role is crucial as it holds the overall responsibility for the operation of the restaurants, ensuring that each restaurant upholds the renowned GPS Hospitality standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. The successful candidate will lead a team of managers and drive the operational and financial performance of their restaurant, with an attractive bonus structure tied to their success. This role requires a hands-on approach where the RGM leads by example, working closely with crew members, shift leaders, and other management staff to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain efficient restaurant operations.

The scope of the RGM position extends beyond day-to-day management to include financial accountability, staff development, public relations, and regulatory compliance. RGMs are expected to hit sales and profit targets through accurate projections and effective scheduling while maintaining a safe and clean environment. They will be responsible for hiring and training a service-obsessed team that is passionate about delivering top-notch guest experiences. The role also demands strong leadership skills, critical thinking capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. RGMs will work various shifts throughout the week, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, late nights, and weekends, requiring flexibility and a committed work ethic.

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of general manager experience in a restaurant or retail setting
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to perform under pressure in a high-volume setting
  • Must have reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Must be at least 18 years of age & authorized to work in the US
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensure team provides outstanding service and satisfied guests
  • Hire, train and coach the restaurant team
  • Utilize GPS Hospitality Systems to run a high-quality restaurant, especially accurate projections and great schedules
  • Implement restaurant controls, especially cash & inventory
  • Frequent contact with the public, business, and community organizations to improve public relations
  • Meet standards for speed of service, food safety and cleanliness
  • Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills
