Job Description

CIG Logistics is a respected national leader in providing specialized logistics services across three main domains: rail services and the storage and delivery of bulk commodities, last-mile delivery of sand used in fracking operations, and the pickup and delivery of intermodal freight. Operating across nine states in the United States, CIG Logistics has strategically concentrated its last-mile delivery services in the Permian and Bakken basins, while focusing its intermodal freight operations predominantly in the Southeastern United States. This geographic and service-based diversity ensures that CIG Logistics continues to meet the dynamic needs of its varied clientele with efficiency and precision. The company prioritizes safety, operational excellence, and superior customer service as core values that drive its daily operations and long-term success.

The Bulk Terminal Operator position, based at the Odessa, TX terminal, presents an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and skilled individual to contribute to the efficient handling and movement of bulk products within this dynamic logistics environment. Reporting directly to the Terminal Manager, the role demands a hands-on approach to operating terminal equipment and developing an in-depth understanding of bulk truck and railcar logistics. The operator is responsible for the smooth receipt and shipping of bulk commodities, ensuring that products are handled and expedited with the utmost professionalism and adherence to safety protocols. Communication and customer service excellence are critical, as the position requires interaction with customers and coordination with various internal teams to maintain quality and accuracy in all operations.

This role is not merely about the physical handling of materials but also involves crucial administrative responsibilities such as terminal reporting, record-keeping of shipments, receipts, and inventory oversight. The Bulk Terminal Operator is expected to maintain the terminal's equipment and facilities in optimal condition, promoting a safe and clean working environment. Mechanical aptitude and teamwork are essential, as the operator often works closely with a small cross-functional team committed to workplace safety, environmental responsibility, and operational excellence. Ultimately, the role is geared toward maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction, fostering a workplace culture grounded in cooperation, integrity, and continuous improvement.
