The Bulk Driver role based in Granite City, IL, is vital in ensuring timely and safe delivery of products to local customers, managing a scheduled route or performing deliveries as required. This position pays $32 per hour with overtime available after 40 hours and includes various bonus potentials such as safety, per diem, and referral bonuses. The work schedule is primarily Monday through Friday with early morning start times and some weekend duties. The role requires operation of CDL A Bulk Tanker equipment and involves adherence to stringent safety standards especially in handling hazardous materials like Anhydrous Ammonia. Drivers will perform thorough pre and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate documentation. Job Requirements

  • At least 25 years old
  • Class A CDL with at least 2 years CMV experience within last 4 years
  • tanker and hazmat endorsements before hire
  • graduation from accredited truck driving school counts as 1 year experience
  • no preventable accidents in last 3 years
  • no more than 2 minor tickets in past 3 years
  • no serious violation ticket in past 3 years
  • no CDL suspensions in past 3 years except failure to pay child support
  • no DUI in last 7 years
  • must be able to lift 60 lbs or more
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Deliver products to local customers on a scheduled or intermittent route
  • record deliveries and pickups on load manifests and obtain customer signatures
  • resolve service inquiries and complaints
  • engage in loading and unloading truck procedures
  • perform pre and post-trip vehicle inspections documenting deficiencies
  • maintain neat, clean, and professional personal and vehicle appearance
  • communicate SOPs to customers regarding safety and handling procedures
