APGFCU is a member-focused credit union committed to fostering a sense of belonging and community through personalized, purpose-driven financial services. Recognized as a leader in the credit union movement, APGFCU emphasizes strong values that guide its approach to serving members, co-workers, and local communities. This thriving financial institution prioritizes connection and purpose in every interaction, assisting members in managing both the everyday and significant moments in life. As a member-owned financial cooperative, APGFCU seeks to offer more than just traditional banking services — it provides a place where members feel valued, supported, and part of a greater family. The credit union continually works to enhance its services, adapt to member needs, and uphold the highest standards of trust, integrity, and community engagement.
The position at APGFCU involves working within the reception and clerical environment where excellent member service is paramount. This role is essential for maintaining smooth operations within the lobby and administrative areas, responding to member and visitor inquiries, and ensuring security protocols for visitors are followed diligently. The ideal candidate will play a vital part in facilitating a welcoming atmosphere, managing communications, and assisting with various clerical and administrative tasks. The duties include greeting and directing visitors, answering telephones courteously, processing check orders, handling loan applications verification, and maintaining important documentation such as signature cards and visitor logs.
Further responsibilities include supporting management by identifying operational or maintenance needs within the lobby environment and performing additional clerical tasks as required. The role also involves working closely with different departments including credit support and human resources to ensure documentation and reports are accurate and timely. This position requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask within a fast-paced setting.
APGFCU values individuals who can demonstrate professionalism, self-motivation, and strong interpersonal skills. Candidates should be adept at using computers and business software, possess good typing and communication skills, and have an understanding of financial institution processes including basic principles of debits, credits, and commercial mathematics. The credit union fosters a team-oriented culture where employees are encouraged to collaborate and contribute to a dynamic workplace.
The employment type is likely full-time with a competitive benefits package that supports the well-being and development of its employees. APGFCU offers comprehensive benefits such as medical and dental insurance (shared expense), vision coverage, 401(k) retirement plans, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance programs, referral programs, educational assistance, holidays, annual leave, and sick leave. This makes it an attractive workplace for candidates seeking stability, growth, and a positive work environment.
Candidates interested in joining APGFCU will find a respectful, inclusive employer committed to equal opportunity and affirmative action. The organization provides accommodations for disabilities and values diversity among its workforce. This position is an excellent entry point for individuals with clerical and customer service experience who want to build a fulfilling career in the financial services industry in a supportive and values-driven setting.
