Job Description
This position is for a Maintenance Technician role at a prestigious country club. Country clubs are private establishments that provide exclusive services and recreational facilities such as golf courses, swimming pools, tennis courts, dining areas, and event spaces to their members. These clubs emphasize maintaining a pristine environment for their members and guests, ensuring a comfortable, safe, and welcoming atmosphere. The Maintenance Technician plays a critical part in upholding these standards through their daily tasks and attention to detail.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, functionality, and safety of the country club’s buildings and grounds. Duties include general repairs, preventative maintenance, and upkeep of club facilities, equipment, and common areas. This role supports an unparalleled member experience by ensuring that everything is operating smoothly, from plumbing and electrical systems to furniture and landscaping elements. The work requires a varied skill set involving basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical know-how. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician must be proactive in identifying potential issues before they become significant problems, maintaining compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Candidates should have experience in similar facilities or hospitality environments, coupled with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Physical stamina is important due to the demands of lifting, standing, walking, and performing physical labor both indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions. Tools and safety equipment must be used correctly to ensure safe work execution. Communication and collaboration with club management and other departments are essential for responding promptly to maintenance requests and ensuring smooth operations.
This role supports the club’s commitment to excellence, cleanliness, and operational efficiency, contributing significantly to maintaining the country club’s distinguished reputation. Employment is typically full time, and compensation is competitive within the local market, reflecting the requirement for a multi-skilled maintenance professional capable of handling the variety of tasks needed to keep a prestigious country club running flawlessly.
