Job Description

This position is for a Maintenance Technician role at a prestigious country club. Country clubs are private establishments that provide exclusive services and recreational facilities such as golf courses, swimming pools, tennis courts, dining areas, and event spaces to their members. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, functionality, and safety of the country club’s buildings and grounds. Duties include general repairs, preventative maintenance, and upkeep of club facilities, equipment, and common areas. This role supports an unparalleled member experience by ensuring that everything is operating smoothly, from plumbing and electrical systems to furniture and landscaping elements. The work requires a varied skill set involving basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical know-how. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
vocational training or certification in maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, or related field preferred
proven experience in building maintenance, repair, and operations, preferably in a hospitality or country club environment
strong knowledge of maintenance practices and techniques, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and painting
ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently and effectively
strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks
excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency

Job Qualifications

Previous maintenance, facilities, or handyman experience preferred
basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems
ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely
strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently

Job Duties

Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the club property
troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical issues as needed
complete preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and facility systems
maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, storage rooms, and workshops
inspect facilities regularly to identify maintenance or safety concerns
repair and maintain doors, locks, lighting, fixtures, furniture, and other club assets
assist with painting, carpentry, pressure washing, and minor construction projects
operate maintenance equipment and tools safely and efficiently
respond promptly to maintenance requests from departments and management
ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and club standards
assist with outdoor maintenance tasks when needed, including grounds support and irrigation repairs
