Job Description
We are a reputable commercial and industrial facility located in Goodyear, AZ, committed to maintaining a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for all occupants and operations. Our company takes pride in our dedication to quality building maintenance and exceptional operational standards. As a well-established facility, we emphasize teamwork, safety, and proactive maintenance strategies to support our infrastructure and client needs effectively. Employing a skilled maintenance workforce allows us to uphold our reputation as a trusted site for businesses and industrial clients alike.
We are currently seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Technician to join our operations team. This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $25 to $29, depending on experience and skills. The shift schedule is Monday through Friday, mostly from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with some flexibility required. Candidates should also be available for occasional emergency call-outs, which are not frequent but necessary to ensure facility continuity.
The role involves performing a variety of routine and specialized maintenance tasks within our commercial and industrial setting. The technician will execute preventive and reactive maintenance work orders on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other facility systems. Responsibilities include conducting facility inspections, reporting on condition statuses, and performing general interior repairs such as hanging pictures, repairing office furniture, doors, and installing keyboard trays. The technician will also assist in moving furniture, machinery, and equipment as requested, replacing lighting and ballasts, and maintaining HVAC systems by cleaning coils, changing filters, and replacing belts.
Safety is paramount in this role, requiring strict compliance with all relevant safety procedures, codes, and local ordinances. The technician will participate in hazard assessments, recognize and propose methods to mitigate safety hazards, complete mandatory safety training, and attend regular safety meetings. Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as 360 Facility for logging work performed is essential.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to efficiently prioritize and escalate issues to management and customers in a timely manner. The job demands physical agility, including lifting up to 80 pounds, working at heights up to 30 feet, and operating in various environmental conditions ranging from extreme heat to extreme cold. A high school diploma or equivalent and 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in general building maintenance, basic plumbing, and electrical work are required, with preferred but not mandatory certifications.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a well-maintained, safe, and operational commercial and industrial facility while advancing your skills in a dynamic work environment. Our team values commitment, professionalism, and a proactive work ethic to ensure all clients experience superior service quality and operational reliability.
