The Building Associate directly reports to the On-Site Supervisor and maintains close interaction with key internal stakeholders such as the Director of Operations and HR staff, as well as external stakeholders including vendors and client representatives. \n\nThis position involves executing low hazard, repetitive maintenance tasks in compliance with the SRNS Simple Task Procedure 1Y, 8.40. The responsibilities include monthly, quarterly, and annual inspections like Life Safety Code assessments, fire extinguisher checks, passive fire protection reviews, and general facility inspections to ensure that the premises meet safety and operational standards. The Building Associate is responsible for documenting all inspections meticulously, maintaining appropriate safety equipment, and performing minor repairs such as replacing bulbs, unclogging toilets, adjusting thermostats, and distributing de-icer during inclement weather. \n\nEmphasis is also placed on the safety of all clients and personnel; the Building Associate must recognize and report unsafe conditions promptly, adhere strictly to infection control measures, and ensure that buildings are securely locked as required. The role demands active participation in safety meetings and ongoing training, reinforcing a culture of health and safety compliance. Excellent customer service skills are vital, as this position often serves as the face of US&S to clients, where responsiveness to complaints and professionalism in addressing grievances significantly impact client satisfaction. \n\nThe role requires physical agility and the ability to perform tasks involving climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting.
