Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous work experience in the food/beverage industry
- Ability to achieve Food Handlers certification in Florida if not already certified
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and adhere to health and safety standards
- Capability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- Previous work experience in the food/beverage industry
- Barista experience is preferred but not required
- Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
- Knowledge of sanitation regulations
- Food Handlers certification in Florida or ability to become certified within 90 days
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Ability to understand and respond to guest preferences
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in close proximity with others in a cooperative manner
Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly as they enter the cafe
- Guide guests through our diverse drink and food menu, answering any questions they may have
- Take orders with careful attention to details such as coffee blend preferences, dairy choices, and sugar requirements
- Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages following Buddy Brew Coffee recipes
- Serve beverages in a high-quality and presentable manner
- Handle cash transactions and process credit card payments accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work station
- Ensure stock levels of ceramic, cutlery, and paper goods are adequate
- Regularly check and maintain brewing equipment, reporting any issues in the shift report
- Adhere to local health and safety regulations
- Communicate guest feedback to managers for continuous improvement
- Actively suggest menu additions or alterations based on customer preferences
- Perform other duties as assigned
