Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- minimum of one year cooking experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred
- ability to perform all essential duties satisfactorily
- willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
- capability to use sensory functions such as vision, hearing, tasting, smelling, touching, and speaking
- physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen tasks
- compliance with health and safety regulations
- ability to work collaboratively with team members

Job Duties
- Prepare high-quality food in a timely manner and follow all company recipes and specifications
- turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking
- season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience
- observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently
- weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or judgment
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work station and kitchen
- inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure safe, sanitary food-handling practices
- comply with portion sizes, quality standards, kitchen rules, and policies
- estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase supplies
- set up line according to kitchen guidelines and par sheets
- pre-cut ingredients to reduce preparation time
- check kitchen equipment operational status
- stock stations to par levels
- memorize all ingredients and portion sizes for menu items
- wrap, date, and refrigerate food
- sanitize cutting boards
- organize station shelves
- clean and hand-clean knives
- complete and participate in line checks
- assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen and storage areas
- wash hands frequently
- use kitchen utensils and equipment safely
- work as a team and use positive communication
- clean, stock, and maintain the line throughout shift
- follow all safety and sanitation policies
