The role of Cook at Buca di Beppo is integral to maintaining the standards of quality and service that guests have come to expect. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing all menu items to specification, consistently producing high-quality dishes in a timely manner. This position requires attention to detail, organization, and a dedication to maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment. The Cook will manage their station by setting up line ingredients, pre-cutting produce, and ensuring all food is properly weighed, measured, and cooked according to recipes or experiential judgment. They are responsible for monitoring food quality through tasting and observation, stocking their station to par levels, and maintaining kitchen utensils and equipment in good working order.
Aside from food preparation, the Cook plays an important role in upholding food safety standards by adhering to sanitation policies, properly labeling and storing food, and participating in line checks to ensure that every dish meets Buca di Beppo’s quality standards. Job Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of one year cooking experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred
- Ability to use all sensory capabilities including vision, hearing, tasting, smelling, touching, and speaking
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain food safety standards
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Willingness to adhere to safety and sanitation policies
Job Qualifications
