Job Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of one year cooking experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred
  • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily
  • Willingness to use all sensory capabilities such as vision, hearing, tasting, smelling, touching, and speaking
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work as part of a team using positive communication
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in work station
  • Capability to handle kitchen utensils, knives, and equipment safely and responsibly

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Consistently prepare high-quality food in a timely manner and follow all company recipes and specifications
  • Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking
  • Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience
  • Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment using various kitchen utensils and equipment
  • Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of your work station and the kitchen
  • Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices
