Job Duties

  • Answer phones in a friendly and timely manner and take messages
  • greet guests warmly upon arrival and thank them sincerely as they depart
  • take, package, and tender to-go orders
  • present accurate bills, collect proper payments, and follow cash handling procedures
  • maintain accurate accounts of coupons, cash, promos, vouchers, and credits
  • provide guests with detailed information about the restaurant
  • maintain a clean and organized arrival area throughout the shift
  • monitor the flow of the restaurant including table turnover, guest arrival and departure, and pace of service
  • work with service staff to reset tables efficiently
  • clean up accidental spills or breakages
  • pre-set flatware
  • clean and maintain menus and drink menus
  • communicate guest needs to management and service staff
  • page and seat guests efficiently and comfortably
  • ensure guests are comfortable while waiting, including passing crowd pizzas
  • assist with gift card sales
  • monitor and maintain restroom cleanliness
  • maintain and clean the lobby area, including wiping down surfaces
  • welcome and assist job applicants
  • maintain walkways inside and outside
  • assist with locating guests for phone calls or messages
  • thank guests for visiting and invite them to return
